£100K and new Stretch Goals on the way! + Bombardier Sneak Peek

Good morning, afternoon and evening Backers!

We've passed the £100,000 mark! Which means that four new sculpts are being put into the game- to represent the Specialist Hogs; The Sniper, The Orderly, The Bombardier and The Engineer!

Thank you to all the Backers who have followed and believed in this campaign thus far! 

Stretch Goals:

£100k was a big goal for this campaign, it is fantastic that the game can now feature the Specialist Hogs complete with their own poses and war-gear! New Stretch Goals will be going up tomorrow evening, now that we are in the final stages of the Hogs Campaign.

Social Stretch Goals: 

Paul and I have been blown away by how fast you have taken to the Social Stretch Goals and then exceeded them! We are lining up a final run of Social Stretch Goals tomorrow for the final week of this campaign! 

I will be spending some time tonight and tomorrow answering any questions you have so far on the campaign, any frequently asked questions will be ported into the FAQs! Any further questions, please post them or email [email protected] if they are more personal.

Three new Social Stretch Goals have gone live today! The first being the ultra-achievable 100 Fans on BoardGameGeek!

Once the game hits 100 Fans, Explosive Barrel Terrain will be added to the game for FREE! For use in the Campaign, Sandbox, Co-op and Solo Mission Modes!

Paul and I have been working on Social Stretch Goals in the background this week. We will be revealing them on Monday on the main campaign page! All three Social Stretch Goals are easily attainable and will help the campaign grow! Whilst adding new content to the box for everyone to enjoy.

Good morning, afternoon and evening Backers!

Two pieces of good news today for you! 

1) The Deployable Artwork is being upgraded! No Stretch Goal needed for this one, Paul and I at Stone Sword Games want to make this game the best we can for the budget - and have pulled the trigger on upgrading the deployable art with some beautiful isometric paintings! There will be UI to go onto these hexes but we thought it would be best to show them off here first! 

(Left to Right, Artillery, Tank Traps, AA Gun, Minefields, Trenches, Bunkers, Barbed Wire)

2) We've had a big call from Backers for a Spanish Translation- today we talked to some keen translators and have decided to have the Rulebook/ Campaign Books translated for Spanish Backers! (Joining French, German and Italian!)

As with the other language versions, the cards are relatively text light - so should not impact you if you have a light grasp on the English Language- but there will also be a guide in the books for the cards in the relevant translation!

How To Play

A new "How To Play" video has just gone Live from the Hungry Gamer. 

In this 20 minute video- he runs through many of the core mechanics and concepts included in the Hogs Of War Miniatures Game. 

There are also "chapters" in the video in case you wanted to see how a specific mechanic worked! 

New Game Modes! Saving Private Rind is the 6th head-to-head Mission Mode unlocked for Hogs Of War! 

This super tense, simple Mission tasks each Player with saving the hide of a Grunt lost behind Enemy Lines. 

Setup: 

• Players each start with a Grunt, deployed in the centre of the board. 
• This Grunt cannot be targeted by the enemy or killed by "friendly fire", or even make its own attack! 

The Objective: 

• Each Round, Players will attempt to "Tag" their Grunt with an Action. 
• This "Tagged" Grunt can be moved by the Player in any direction they wish.
• The first Player/Team to get their Private Rind back to the friendly Base wins! 

A demo of this new Mission Mode will be hitting TTS shortly!
