Good morning, afternoon and evening Hog's fans,
A big update for you folks today so please grab a cuppa, settle in and have a read!
UKGE:
Paul and I have just recovered from the UK Games Expo, the UK's biggest Board Game show, which ran from the 30th July to the 1st August. Attending as Stone Sword Games, we had the opportunity to show off our growing range of content.
Eva, our fantastic Eastar Rep had just got the punchboards for Hogs Of War to us in time so we were able to display all punched components, including Hog's base building system, alongside all the miniatures we've packed into this fantastic game!

A very special thanks goes out to Marcus, Raben, Sean and our parents, siblings and partners for pitching in with the help! They were relentlessly charismatic and gracious and we are very proud of them.
Paul and I loved speaking to a lot of existing backers and new fans, it was a very enjoyable experience all round. Showing off the quality of the Hogs Of War Miniatures was intensely rewarding and we are so grateful to anyone who found the time to say hello! (And for the kind words on how gorgeous Hogs is looking so far!)

Component Upgrade:
Eastar are changing their strategy on the "flight stands" for the Biplanes, Triplanes and Airships. As our advocates, they were unhappy with the quality of the flight stands sourced for the project in China and are instead going to cast the flight stands themselves using a custom-built mould.
This change will ensure that the game maintains the highest production standards and will be the best version of the game it can be. At the moment, as this change is unplanned, we are not sure if it will impact the production timetable and are working with Eastar to get an updated schedule and keep as close to the estimated fulfilment date as possible.
Expect news on this next week- I remain optimistic that Eastar has the upgrade in hand and expect it will give yet another boost of tangible quality and polish to the project.

Small Update and UKGE News

Good morning, afternoon and evening Hog fans!
Production Update:
The updated schedule for Hogs from Eastar has final production finish in August so we are still on track to start fulfilment in September and run it into October where necessary. We are working hard our end to make sure all the components are as good as they can be.
Tutorial Mode:
Paul and I have decided to add a set of Tutorial Cards to the Core Pledge of the game, which takes players through the first few rounds of the game, with simple instructions and suggestions. This is something that all pledge levels will get, hopefully it makes the game a little easier to sink your teeth into straight away!
UKGE:
We are attending UKGE this year- come find Paul and I at Stand 2-477 where we will be running the Stone Sword Games stand. It will be great to say hello to more Hog fans!
Hogs Of War Production and Shipping Update: June.

Good morning, afternoon and evening Hog fans!
A long two-parter update today, announcing a small delay to fulfilment and dealing with a scary issue that has been in the news a lot recently.
Big Hog, Little Hog, Tiny Airship
Rather inexplicably our manufacturer shrunk the final size of the Airship, which was picked up on during the proofing process (see original size left in image below). Paul and I have chalked it up to an honest mistake but obviously this has impacted the estimated completion date of the miniatures mould beyond our control (which then kicks everything else back).
To help compensate for the delay, we are working with the manufacturer to speed up other background processes in Hog's production. Other components, like the Dice, have arrived as samples looking fantastic and exactly what was envisaged from the start.
The new completion date for the miniatures being fully cast is August. We are a bit shocked at this change, but ultimately there's nothing we can do to speed it up without jeopardising the final quality of the product. It will mean that the fulfilment process is delayed beyond our July/August goal of the last few months- we are looking at August for Asia, Australia and New Zealand- and September for UK, Europe and North America.
Freight Costs
You may have noticed that freight costs are rocketing up beyond the substantial rise they already saw in 2020. There has been a lot of media coverage of this issue, including the Suez blockage and a potential trade war between the East and West.
This has made the process of getting a boat booked and costed incredibly hard our end, and we might be seeing a lot of the profit from this project evaporate in front of our eyes. The game was well budgeted , so we are very sure that although the project will cost Paul and I more to ship, it won't slip into the red- as a lot of Kickstarter projects have done recently.
Ultimately, Stone Sword Games is committed to shipping your game and the hope is that the production delay will give freight costs time to stabilise and get back to more reasonable rates.

Locking Orders ... 1 Day To Go! (Plus Follow-up Orders and Changes)

This update is just to remind you that we are locking orders tomorrow, on Friday the 28th May at 10PM British Summer Time, that's 2PM Pacific Standard Time and 5pm Eastern Time for all of Uncle Ham's Hogs out there!
If you want to add extras, the Deployables or upgrade to the Deluxe Copy (by emailing me or editing your Backerkit Survey answers), please do that now!

If, after Orders are locked, you want to change your address or add products to your basket- please email me at [email protected] and I'll be happy to help. As long as the changes are made before the final dispatch we may be able to sneak them in- but can't guarantee it.

We will be locking orders for Hogs Of War The Miniatures Game on the 28th May! So get that in your diaries!
Stock Limitations:
If you haven't upgraded your pledge to the Deluxe Version, or added the Team Lard Expansion, please think about if you want to pick it up- as once orders have been locked, the manufacturing quantities will also be fixed. So I can't guarantee in the future that you'll ever be able to order the Deluxe Components or the Team Lard solo expansion from ourselves.
If you are ordering from Singapore, Thailand, Macao, Malaysia, Indonesia, Switzerland, or New Zealand- there is now a new shipping option for you to choose on Backerkit which is significantly cheaper than the original quote. Please switch over to this new option, it'll save you money when it comes to shipping!
If you are ordering from Israel, Mexico, Pakistan, UAE or Norway, please hang tight until Monday 17th May and I should have your new adjusted prices loaded in. (Promise!)
